ABOUT ME

A Walk in My World : ABOUT ME

This is the easiest part, I know, to post the ABOUT ME portion in this website, because I just have to find the adjectives that describe myself, the facts of my existence and the verbs of what I have done. But I don’t want to stick to them (that description) because every day the process of living is faced with new challenges. Life is a never ending endeavor, a journey without even knowing the destination. So it’s not always the same! Changes happen all the time! So I’ll ride along to wherever life brings me, embracing new challenges, accepting consequences, and cautiously living without regrets.

Why Chasing Potatoes?

I’m Chasing Potatoes. I chase time and opportunities because just like round potatoes they roll and get lost. I chase them to store memories to last a lifetime. I make haste, running after them, fearful that they might be gone. That’s why I go places on land or in water. My story tells about the journey of chasing time and saying yes to wonderful opportunities.

Why I made this blog?

I admit that there are lots of times when I am stuck with boredom, so to break the wheel of monotony, I do some blogs Time flies, memories fade but words last; so maybe one day, if I reread my blogs, I would   feel and live again the experiences of the past. This is for the sake of feeling again, re-awakening my emotions, and reminiscing the history of my existence.

Why I entitled it as THE WANDERLUST KEEPER?

I really find delight in putting my experiences into words. This blog isn’t even a travel blog. I just titled it the way a wanderlust writer would do because I simply write anything that strikes my mind as something worth remembering. I thirst for new learnings. I desire to be different from what I was before. I want to let go the fearful me and I feel I am now fearless. Adventures are now on my way. I leave footprints by means of this blog.

Maybe a lot of people have gone to the places where I have visited and have made the usual adventures the place had to offer; but since every person is unique, I have my own way of perceiving things and events. I choose the angles for my lens to capture and therefore I have my own interpretation or my own story of the sights that captivated me.

This is my personal website. I make entries from time to time because I want to keep and share my cherished memories to you and give you snippets about my wanders.

Welcome to the journal of my life.

Why destined to be great? (Before my blog site was desintedtobegreat.14webs.com)

I believe in the law of attraction. Sometimes my brain is biased with all the negativity I’ve experienced, and I’m getting tired of those things. My energy is drained most of the time. So, why not embrace positivity in life! I am now summoning optimism. I declare to myself that I am GREAT, that I am destined to be great. To be happy is to be great. Greatness is happiness.

  1. Such a fun blog you have here. I totally agree and could relate to some of the reasons for writing a blog. I’d also want to remember and be able to reminisce with details of the trips that my family makes. I’m excited to go through your blog! 🙂 — amor

  4. You have such an endearing way of expressing yourself….of expressing the highly-relatable challenge most of us face–that of making sense and meaning and joy of our lives…and capturing, prolonging, recognizing, celebrating the times and memories that highlight our best selves at any given time….those times and memories that let us know that we are living a successful life…moments and memories to mitigate–if not blot out—the parts of our existence that cause angst and disillusionment…such a fantastic introduction…and I love your use of metaphors (i.e chasing potatoes)…and your recognition that you can choose to be happy and focus on the good….and that you are unique….and, you sure are….thank you for sharing….you are a joy 🙂

  8. Not sure if I missed it, pero I think you’d love to visit Sipalay, Negros Occidental. We stayed sa Campoquino Resort then upa ng bangka. Wala ako maganda camera e sayang. Hope you could visit. 🙂

      1. Believe me, I am really thrilled right now. For one thing, you have a post on chasing waterfalls in Cebu, and that’s my number 1 goal for my outdoor adventure now. Plus, you’re a great diver – one thing that I have been wanting to learn. Your blog just made my day 🙂
