Rainy Day, A Perfect Story, and An Unplanned Trip – Second Week of August 2023
Last week, I decided to cut out sugar. I had been feeling some unpleasant symptoms already (HAHA gor na me! 🥹) and I was proud of myself for reaching seven days without it. I still ate rice, though, and drank coffee, but I didn’t add any sugar. I felt great after seven days! I had more energy, my skin cleared up, and I lost a few pounds. I’m going to continue cutting out sugar, and I’m excited to see how I feel in a few weeks.
Anyhoo, I was so sad on Saturday because I wanted to enjoy that day, but it was raining so hard. 🥲 I had been thinking of practicing my skating, going for a jog, or just taking a walk, but the rain had other plans. So, I decided to do the next best thing: EAT!!! haha 😳I ordered my favorite takeout from Mang Inasal and binged on Netflix.

I started watching the Spanish series “A Perfect Story”. The story is kind of cliché for me, but oh man, I just love their chemistry. *giggles!*🙃 The guy is really cute, haha! *fangirling intensifies!*🙃 I couldn’t stop thinking about that series even after I finished it. Netflix-ing and chilling wasn’t the same as being outside, but it was better than nothing. And hey, at least I didn’t have to worry about getting wet!😉
The next day, the weather wasn’t that moody, although the sky was a bit gloomy. Harold and I went to Lapu-Lapu because he had some business to attend to. After the meeting, we decided to go to 10,000 Roses Cafe. However, there was a parade in Cordova, which caused us to get stuck in traffic. It was Fiesta pala in Cordova. As a result, we ended up going to a different place in Cordova where Harold’s friends were also present. We went there to relax and enjoy some fresh air. I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t go to 10,000 Roses Cafe, but nevertheless, it was still a nice day. We had the opportunity to spend some time with our friends and enjoy the fresh air with a view of the placid sea and worthwhile conversations. It was a weekend well spent.

How I Got Out of My Funk – First Week of August 2023
I’ve been feeling really lethargic these past few days. Harold and I argued because I just wanted to stay home and let the days consume me, obviously just wasting weekends. But he forced me to go out because the weather was good and he wanted to have some outdoor fun. He wanted me to skate, but I was too tired. My unhappiness with everything demotivated me to do something I like. But you know when your partner starts to get annoyed with your temperament and becomes sulky, so I just went along with it! HAHA 🤣
When we arrived at that certain place, the weather was perfect and I regretted not bringing my skates. I decided to exercise by taking a jog and taking some pictures along the way. Harold even taught me how to drive afterwards, but I was such a scaredy-cat that my feet were trembling. Haha! 🤣I was so nervous that I could barely hold the steering wheel. But Harold was patient and encouraging, and eventually I started to relax and enjoy myself.
After a while, I started to feel better. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I felt the wind in my hair. I realized that I needed to get out of my funk and start enjoying life again.I took a few more pictures, and then Harold and I sat down on the hood of the car. We talked about our lives and our dreams. I told him about my blog and he was really supportive. He told me that I should keep writing and sharing my stories with the world.
I’m so glad that Harold forced me to go out that day. It was exactly what I needed to get out of my funk and start enjoying life again. I’m also glad that I took some pictures. They will remind me of a day that I almost didn’t have. I’m going to share these photos in my blog as a memoir for that day. I want to share my story with others and maybe inspire them to get out of their funks and start enjoying life again.

Thanks for reading. ♥

Driving backwards is a must hahaha. Just keep at it. You’ll gain confidence in no time. 🙂 Anyway, I’m glad everything turned out better for you in the end. Yah, sometimes we just have to allow our partners (and kids or friends) to drag us. More ofter than not, we won’t regret it. 🙂
ps. I’ve never put watermark on my photos… hmm you gave me an idea. But do you have to put it one by one? or can it be done all in one go?

HAHA! 🤣 thank you so much for reading! I’m glad that my partner is always willing to drag me out of my shell, even if I don’t always want to go at first. I know that I’m always glad I did in the end.
I use Canva for my watermarks. I used to put them one by one, haha. 🤣🤣 But I think Canva has a template that could be done all in one go, but I haven’t figured it out yet. 😄😄😄
