LAKE BENSIS : WE MADE THE WRONG TURN

Hello, I’m back in this virtual world and sharing another episode of Chasing Potatoes’ adventures. This time, my friends and I went camping in Toledo specifically along Lake Bensis. Ever since this Lake Bensis circulated in social media due to some controversies, I got interested in visiting this Lake haha. The more they want to hide it, the more people (like me) desire to visit it, charot!

 I know some people don’t want the place to “geotag” Lake Bensis, but sad to say the place has already been tagged in Google Map. Fortunately it is pinned in the wrong direction, that’s why we got lost in locating it. And for the other locals whom we asked for directions and didn’t know the place, maybe because it has another name which is Lake Pingganon. The name Lake Bensis was not familiar to them.

My other friends rode habal-habal for Php 500.00  which included going back to Cebu City ( pakyaw system – JY Lahug, Cebu City to Toledo and back to JY Lahug, Cebu City). That’s also how costly and far Lake Bensis is. Luckily for me, I hitched a ride in going there.

And the legs Doc Jack saw were maybe just branches of a tree. He just mistook them for human legs in his the desire to see a local because we were already lost and we wanted to ask for directions. It was just a funny moment imagining strange things, hahahaha! (𝑰 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆,𝒉𝒂𝒉𝒂)

If ever you want to experience visiting this lake in Toledo, please, please be sure to always dispose your trash properly. Leave no trace always.
