Rainy Day, A Perfect Story, and An Unplanned Trip – Second Week of August 2023

Last week, I decided to cut out sugar. I had been feeling some unpleasant symptoms already (HAHA gor na me! 🥹) and I was proud of myself for reaching seven days without it. I still ate rice, though, and drank coffee, but I didn’t add any sugar. I felt great after seven days! I had more energy, my skin cleared up, and I lost a few pounds. I’m going to continue cutting out sugar, and I’m excited to see how I feel in a few weeks.

There was a time when sadness suddenly hit me. It brought me to turmoil. I was so down and depressed that I couldn’t understand why I felt that way. I even thought of dying but suddenly when I crossed the street and rushing cars passed by me I was then scared of losing my life.

Camping in Malubog: Kind of Disappointing

 

We were looking up desperately hoping the clouds in the firmament would vanish even just at midnight for we were going to witness this rare phenomenon, the Perseid Meteor Shower, which occurs once a year. We screamed our hearts out that this moment would be perfect as we desired it to be. We prayed to see that magic in the sky but God forbade us to see it. Instead He sent heavy rains, thunder and lightning as if there was festivity in heaven. We were dismayed for a moment as shown by the faces of frustration from all of us. But I won’t let this adventure fail. I won’t let this speck of negativity dishearten us.
