The Winds of August: A Diary

Rainy Day, A Perfect Story, and An Unplanned Trip – Second Week of August 2023

Last week, I decided to cut out sugar. I had been feeling some unpleasant symptoms already (HAHA gor na me! 🥹) and I was proud of myself for reaching seven days without it. I still ate rice, though, and drank coffee, but I didn’t add any sugar. I felt great after seven days! I had more energy, my skin cleared up, and I lost a few pounds. I’m going to continue cutting out sugar, and I’m excited to see how I feel in a few weeks.

Chasing Sunset in the Street of Cebu City

This should have been a wordless blog because I just wanted to feature here the snaps I got when I was going to SM Seaside, Cebu City. It’s been awhile that I haven’t taken photos of scenes in the streets at the golden hour of sunset, my fave time of the day. I was just delighted with the photos I captured. But as soon as I made the post, I noticed that WordPress has already an Al Paragraph (Al Image as well). However, this is still experimental for the time being. I can make a content in just less than 10 seconds. The design is not very authentic! The design is not very human, HAHAHA! I am sad that blogs nowadays are maybe made by Al. I feel that they seem to be not genuine anymore. But this is the world now. I have to cope and live with its realities. I’ll just have to capture more and more photos and strive my very best to be good at this thing. Oh, jiva?? Haha! Anyhoo, here’s the sample of Al paragraph done by WordPress. What do you think? Will you use Al for your contents?

HOW TO EDIT PHOTOS IN LIGHTROOM MOBILE AND A GLIMPSE OF SURPRISE

In my previous B/VLOG, I mentioned that I bought a new phone, Samsung Galaxy A51, which I used in taking photos. I posted those unfiltered photos in that vlog so that they could be seen firsthand how they look straight from the camera. To add a little spice to my photos, I’m going to share to you now how I edit those photos. Well, I love editing my pics not just to enhance them visually, but also because I find this activity relaxing. So here’s my video on how I edit my photos.

HOW I EDIT MY PHOTOS FOR THE GRAM

Sometimes I want to feel fancy, just like most girls. If I set aside my lazy ass and I am in the mood, I like to put make-up on my face, wear cute outfits and take photos of myself. I like to use my time as well by editing those snaps. I think it’s not about being vain but because I want my photos to reflect my creativity and artistry.

Sometimes raw photos are boring and problematic but added with filters and enhancements they channel different emotions and tones.Right? However, I don’t overdo my photos. I want them to look natural, if possible. So, here in my blog I’m showing you how I edit my photos to make them appear as natural as possible.

Solo Traveling in Calbayog : Two Splendid Waterfalls To Chase in Calbayog

I tried solo traveling once because I wanted to experience freedom of taking risks and of dealing with personally unknown ventures to find out if it is really liberatingly beautiful. I found the answer when I visited Calbayog.

It was not all fun; there were times when I got scared while jaunting but at the end of the day I set aside the negativities encountered along the way and thought of the valuable lessons learned in this experience. That is why Calbayog already has carved an etch in my heart even though I was there two years ago. But it is only now that I felt the desire to write this blog. I have shaken off the lethargy in my being and have stopped my addiction to Mobile Legend, haha 😂. I have to stop or else that would be the death of me, ugh!
