My Chaotic 10k Steps
Our 10,000 step challenge with my nieces turned into a hilarious scramble! Every scenic spot, like the beautiful mangrove river view and even a charming corner of the plaza that reminded me of Baguio, became a photo op. We grabbed cheap iced coffee (mine for 39 pesos, theirs sans caffeine!), then settled by the baywalk to capture the fiery sunset. It was stunning, but just as the sun dipped down, a swarm of flying termites attacked!

These harmless bugs freaked me out a little (I admit, I forgot to take a video, darn it! 😅), but they kinda tickled my skin whenever they flew around, haha! It was the perfect sign to head home, but my nieces, tired from the walk, called their parents for a pick-up. Determined to hit 10k steps, I wasn’t giving up that easily! I soldiered on by myself, pushing through the darkness until the last tinge of light vanished and darkness enveloped the firmament. Finally reaching home, I knew it had been worth it. I reached my goal! Now, turning this 10k step challenge into a daily habit… that’s a battle for another day. Laziness is still winning for now, LOL! 😅
Two-Wheeled Triumph:
I always wanted to learn how to ride a motorbike and I finally did it! The initial wobbles were a challenge, haha 😅, but with some practice and a whole lot of determination, I finally got the hang of it. Yahoo! When I was cruising down the open road with the wind rushing by was pure freedom – it literally made me scream with excitement! Like gaaaaah! The feeling of finally learning was such a dream come true. Anyhoo, there’s still a lot to learn about navigating the roads, but conquering those first turns was a victory in itself. Huge thanks to my awesome Ate Buen and Kuya Teresito for teaching me, guiding me, and letting me borrow their motorbike! LOL! Now that I’ve tasted freedom, getting my own someday is definitely a goal. (Need sponsor, just kidding! HAHA😅)

Harold Visits: Island Fun, Seafood Feasts, and Perya’s Gone Wild!
- Reunion & Island Eats: Harold finally made it to Bantayan Island after those crazy delays (typhoons, family stuff, work, ugh!). We wasted no time and headed straight to the market for a legendary island feast! We loaded up on fresh, local goodies: lato (sea grapes, yum!), plump crabs, juicy shrimp (seafood boil heaven!), seashells (wasay-wasay and binga), and fresh Agumaa fish that grilled up perfectly. Let’s just say we ate like royalty all weekend! LUH! haha #KcalOverload

- 10k Step Champs: Feeling energized from all that seafood, we crushed our 10k step goals for two whole days! Woohoo! #feelingproductive #MustBurnTheKcalLOlHAHA

- Quick Business Stop Before the Island Fun: Gotta be honest here! Before the island adventure began, Harold had a quick business stop to take care of… toilet bowl cleaner (hey, it pays the bills!). This isn’t an ad, but if you’re looking for an affordable toilet bowl cleaner that eliminates 99% of germs, feel free to ask in the comments! Now, let’s conquer those bathroom battles and get to the island fun! ️

- Perya Thrills: With Bantayan’s upcoming town fiesta approaching (heads up: Holy Week is NOT the feast!), island nights were all about the Perya, the local carnival! They had a crazy fast mini ferris wheel, a giant rocking boat, a spooky horror train booth, and even a classic horsey carousel! We skipped the food stalls and some of the wilder rides this time, like the crazy fast mini ferris wheel and the spooky horror train booth, but dove headfirst into the games – shooting games, card games, bingo, you name it! We may have lost a few pesos in some games (a minor regret fueled by the thrill of the win, lol! 😅 ), but the laughter and memories were priceless!

I’m feeling grateful for this island life and all the unexpected adventures it throws my way. So long, June, you were awesome! See you all for some epic July adventures – woohoo! ❤️
P.S. My featured photo is made by AI in WordPress AI Assistant. I’ll be switching it out soon because I haven’t found any pictures I love for the spot yet, lol haha! 🤣😅
