The roar of the boat’s engine was kind of deafening, leaving us to keep mum and just look around the view of the sea and the horizon. It was a beautiful morning; the sun’s rays penetrated our skin and warmed our body. The gentle waves hit the boat with a rhythm that made me sleepy when suddenly one of our companions pointed to something in the sea. When I looked at it, I saw a dorsal fin protruding on the seawater.

There was a time when sadness suddenly hit me. It brought me to turmoil. I was so down and depressed that I couldn’t understand why I felt that way. I even thought of dying but suddenly when I crossed the street and rushing cars passed by me I was then scared of losing my life.

A number of tourists, foreign or local alike usually prefer having a vacation in Southern Cebu than in the Northern part believing that the southern part have many known tourists spots. Only a few tourists go to the northern part of Cebu and the usual activity is just island bumming in Malapascua, Carnaza or Bantayan Island…

A male friend of mine, once told me that the Philippines, being an archipelago have beaches and islands that are almost the same in physical features. According to him, one can see similar sights anywhere in the Philippines. For instance, the islands here are embraced with palm groves, great white beaches, clear turquoise seawater, long stretch of sandbars and coastlines, etc. 🏝

The Part 1 of my extreme adventure blog in Samar was just about our journey to Pinipisakan Falls which was only one fourth (1/4) of the said adventure, It wasn’t easy for there were some obstacles and challenges along the way; nevertheless, the saying that difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations was true as proven by the splendour of Pinipisakan Falls. One of the fulfilling achievements I have garnered in my life is not just about achieving success in personal career, or realizing dreams and goals, or having a stable job, etc., but also learning how to conquer fears.
If you know me personally, you will realize that I’m not that fearless kind of being. In fact I am scared of a lot of things. I’m scared of the unknown, of not being in control, of almost everything. I think a lot. Over thinker as I am… But I have to let go all of these uncertainties or else I will be stuck up in the same ground, just living in the comfort zone, bland and boring, nothing exciting…

If somebody would ask how many provinces in the Philippines I have traveled so far, my answer would be: I cannot exactly give an accurate count. You see I am not into counting provinces visited for I am that type of person who visits and revisits places. What if a particular place has so much to offer which could not be perceived in one visit or two… I think, once is not enough to visit one tourist spot. There are might be many stories to tell, adventures to experience, cultures to immerse in, food to eat and a lot of other interesting stuff to do. I like to maximize my time by exploring as much space as possible as far as my feet can take me.

I celebrated my Christmas 2017 away from home, no opening of gifts during midnight, no noche buena but just a bunch of friends shivering with cold in this December breeze and seeing only the blanket of fog at the top of Mt. Kan-irag ( Sirao Peak ).

After our exhausting climb in Lake Janagdan, we were met by a spectacular scenery, yet we were also greeted by danger that lurked in the corner. As I trod along the majestic trail, there was an instant when I held on to a thorny plant and the thorns pierced both of my palms. I almost cried because of the pain. Watch that video (https://wp.me/p6aPTy-Ld) if you haven’t seen it yet.
