Alto Peak : Climbing The Highest Peak In Eastern Visayas that Made Me Cry, Well Almost

PART TWO: What it is Like to Try Major Climb for the First Time

After our exhausting climb in Lake Janagdan, we were met by a spectacular scenery, yet we were also greeted by danger that lurked in the corner. As I trod along the majestic trail, there was an instant when I held on to a thorny plant and the thorns pierced both of my palms. I almost cried because of the pain. Watch that video  (https://wp.me/p6aPTy-Ld) if you haven’t seen it yet.

My Experiences in My Journey to Freediving Which Probably May Entice You to Try

My Experiences in My Journey to Freediving Which Probably May Entice You to Try

“I can’t sink myself.”  Those were the words I uttered when my friends bade goodbye as they went to the deeper part of the ocean. Stuck on the shallow water , hit by the waves rushing to the shore, I  felt nothing exciting for I saw only the usual and the ordinary. (like duuuuh!) Camping in Malubog : Kind of Disappointing

Camping in Malubog: Kind of Disappointing

We were looking up desperately hoping the clouds in the firmament would vanish even just at midnight for we were going to witness this rare phenomenon, the Perseid Meteor Shower, which occurs once a year. We screamed our hearts out that this moment would be perfect as we desired it to be. We prayed to see that magic in the sky but God forbade us to see it. Instead He sent heavy rains, thunder and lightning as if there was festivity in heaven. We were dismayed for a moment as shown by the faces of frustration from all of us. But I won’t let this adventure fail. I won’t let this speck of negativity dishearten us.

Sights Seen by a First Time Visitor in Manila Who Never Thought of Seeing Them

Sights Seen by a First Time Visitor in Manila Who Never Thought of Seeing Them

Find time to explore around. You’ll never know what adventure may lie ahead. It may be climbing mountains, swimming in beach resorts, visiting museums or strolling around boulevards. Go out, capture scenic moments. Learn and have a meaningful experience. Gather memories and gain knowledge. Trust me, they’re good for the body and soul. – Chasing Potatoes

I’ve been to Manila a number of times, but I never got the chance to go places. My routine was answering the demands of work and of sleep. Schedule was always not enough. Then one lucky day, one of my colleagues accidentally booked our flight back to Cebu on a Sunday, so we had an extra non-working day which was Saturday. Horrraaaah! We could explore and roam around the city but we have to dig our own pocket for the expenses, of course.

There are a lot of tourist spots in Metro Manila but these were the only places we visited due to limited time.

LUGSANGAN PEAK (Casino Peak) : Let’s Go to Casino, Not To Play Poker, But To Climb It.

LUGSANGAN PEAK (Casino Peak): Let’s Go to Casino, Not To Play Poker,  But To Climb It

I’ve been living here in Cebu for about ten years now, but I haven’t been to this famous place ever. You may laugh at this revelation of mine for it may be just a simple matter to some. . I have already summited a number of mountains here in Cebu but I haven’t still made it on the top of the highest peaks here in the Queen City of the South. Yes, I haven’t climbed Osmeña Peak. HAHAHA! 😂 Now I’m laughing because this post is not even about Osmeña Peak. You may think I’m off-tangent, but I’m not, for the subject of this post stands on the same pinnacles as Osmeña Peak. (Yasssss 😻)

I’m sharing this now because, somehow, I have partly stepped foot on the highest highlands here in the province of Cebu, although I have not jaunted up that famous Osmeña Peak. At least, I have partially been to this famous place when I reached Casino Peak.
